Midsummer Camp, Cornbury

By kind permission of The Lord and Lady Rotherwick, we will be camping on Newhill Plain, a beautiful clearing in the heart of the Forest, and the site of the 19th century Wychwood Fair.

This will be strictly “natural” camping without power, with no vehicles on site and with no other trappings of civilisation apart from a tank of water and a portaloo. This will be suited to families with children as well as adults. We will have a programme of talks, activities and entertainments. We want to make this, apart from enormous fun and educational, zero waste and zero carbon and we will try to eat only local food. There will be a small charge to cover costs. Places on the camp are limited in number on a first come first served basis, and it is essential that we have the names of those coming well in advance. You will not be able to come if you just turn up on the day!

Please email Sofia Dyson on sof@wychnet.org or call 01993 868210 by May 19th if you would like to reserve a place or for more information.
